On Friday night, November 7th. all the returned soldiers from Drury and many others from the surrounding district were entertained at a social in the Drury Hall. About sixty invitations were sent out, a large proportion of whom attended, several who had left the district bemg unable to be present Despite the threatening weather a large crowd turned out to do their best to give the boys a good time. The function was tendered by the old Drury Patriotic C< mmiitee, as a we'cuine home to fill the ;eturued soldiers of the district and was in all respects a great success. The hall was gaily decorated with flags und bunting, and a large marquee fiected at the end of the hall was used for the splendid sit d iwn supper provided.
