ONEWHERO.

POLITICAL ADDRESS (Contributed) Mr Campbell Johnstone (chairman Kaglan County Council), addressed the electors in Onewhero on Wednesday night last, in furtherance of his candidature for Parliament. Insufficient advertising, and bad weather, marred the attendance. The candidate gave reasons for his joining the Liberal Party, and supported Sir Joseph Ward's proposals for settling outstanding labour troubles. Answering questions, he pronounced himself strongly in favour of the present education system with better treatment of the backlocks, a trail of coal nationalisation, a substantial payment for naval defence. Mr S. H. Crawford was, as usual, an efficient chairman. PERSONAL Mr Norman Cole Baker, our local postmaster, who has been in very bad health lately, is now on the way to a good recovery.
