OBITUARY.

Mr, H. W. King As previously reported in tho Times, the death of Mr H. W. King, a well-known bootmaker of Pukekohe, took place at the Auckland Hospital, after a short illness, on Friday, October 31st. Deceased was the only son of Mr H. King, of England, and came to New Zealand about 10 years ago, and landed at Wellington. He subsequently acquired a small business at Birkenhead, Auckland, and then came to Pukekohe, a few months before the outbreak of war. He commenced business in premises now occupied by Mr H. Lodge, bootmaker, and remained there for about two years, shifting into McOlmtock's buildings, where he conducted his business until he was compelled to enter the Auckland Hospital. Deceased, ably assisted by Mrs King, hid worked up a fine little business in Pukekohe The late Mr King, who was highly esteemed by all with whom he came in contact, was a member of the 1.0.0. F. M.U. Lodge, and of the Pukekohe Chamber of Commerce. He was married in Auckland some four years ago, and leaves a widow to mourn her sad and irreparable loss. There were no children. The funeral took place at the Purewa cemetery, Auckland, on Saturday last, the burial service being conducted by Rev. Budd.
