PERSONAL
Mr B. Middlemas, of Pukekohe, formerly of the Symonds street, Auckland, branch of the National Bank of New Zealand, will succeed Mr A. N. Watson, who has been transferred to Hamilton. Miss McMullin, who has been connected with the Bank of New Zealand for some years, the last two years with the local branch, is severing her connexion with the Bank, and intends to reside with her mother at Dunedin.
Mr C. J. Steedman, who was recently transferred to the Pukekohe branch of the Bank of New Zealand, has received notice of his transfer back to Auckland. Mr Prescott, of Tuakau, who recently returned from the front, will fill the vacancy. As we were about to go to press we learned that Mr H. W. King, bootmaker, King street, Pukekohe, who had been an inmate of the Auckland H spital for some weeks, passed away before midday to-day. Further particulars are not yet available Mr A. N (" Pom ") Watson, who has been teller at the local branch of the National Bank of New Zealand for the last 13 months, has received notification of transfer to the Hamilton branch. Mr Watson was connected with the Hamilton office prior to being transferred to Pukekohe. Whilst here Mr Watson has proved himself very popular, particularly in musical circles, and his departure from Pukekohe will be regretted.
