PAPARATA.
WEDDING BELLS. GOLDIE—BOOTH. A wedding of considerable interest to Paparata, was solemnised at the Methodist Church, Paparata yeetprday, Bev J. F. Martin of Pukekohe, officiating The contracting parties were. Mr John Kennedy Goldie, of Ayrshire, Scotland, and Miss Mabel Booth, daughter of Mr Fredk Boo'h, schoolmaster, Paparata. The Hide, who was given away by her father, looked very becoming in a beautiful silk frcck, with silver trimmings, while she also wore the usual (■rthodi x veii and oranpe blossoms. The bridesmaid, Miss Nora Booth, sister ol the bride, was attired in a heliotrope crepe de chine dress, with hat to match. Mr Kempletor, of Ayrshne, Scotland, acted as best man After the ceremony, a large r.umber of guests were entertained, at a sumptuous wedding breakfast, nt the schoolhouse, when the usual toasts were hone ured. The grounds hnd school were gaily decorated for the occasion. In the evening, the residents of Paparata were entertained at the school.
The presents were costly and numerous, and included many valuable cheques.
