ELECTRICITY EXTENSION SCHEME.

Meeting of Delegates.

A further stage in regard to the proposed electricity extension scheme was reached on Wednesday, when the following delegates met in the Fukekohe Borough Council Chambers: Messrs C. K. Lawrie (Mayor of Pukekohe), W. Claud Motion (chairman Franklin County Council), T. W. Woods (Franklin County Council), G ArmstroLg and R Bilkey (Pukekohe Borough Council), A. J. Walker (engineer reporting on the scheme), Woods Wyatt, Borough engineer), and the Town Clerk, Mr J. F Deane. Mr R T. Keid, chairman Waiuku Town Board sent an apology for absence. The Mayor seconded the motion, and congratulated Mr Walker on the comprehensiveness of tho report —Carried unanimously. The engineer's report was examined and discussed in committ*«, and it was decided to hold another meeting shortly, at which it is hoped that the Taukau and Pap,:kurn Town Boards will be represented. It is greaty desired that delegates from a'l the brdies interested, including Farmers' Union branches, should be present at the next meeting called, as this will he the preliminary before launching the scheme before the public.
