Executive Meeting Iho executive of the Franklin A. and P. Society mot in the Society's office on Wednesday, when there were present: Messrs J. N. Massey President), C. McCormick, J. K. Hamilton, James Pollock, James Ruulston, S Shipherd, F. Shipherd, Frank Ballard, W J. D. Sharp, and the secretary (Mr D R. Hamilton). The Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. W. F. Massey, in reply to the Society's representations relative to the proposed subway for cattle, stated that the matter would have his attention, The secretary was instructed to interview the Prime Minister regarding the matter, when in Wellington attending the A. and P. Conference.

Mr F. Ballard advised that his brother, Mr S. Ballard, had donated two special prizes for the potato section at the next show. Offer accepted with thanks. The Northern Roller Mills Company, offered their usual prizes for the forthcoming show. Accepted with thanks. The Auckland Racing Club intimated that it would donate £2O to the Society's prize funds. Accepted with thanks. The secretary, Mr D. R. Hamilton, reported that during September he had grubbed the gorse on the Showground, finished cleaning round the trees, burned off the rubbish, and fixed the tence round the plantation. He also attended to the fence round the large plantation. During the month he canvassed the looality and obtained 41 new members. Adopted with thanks. The secretary reported that since the balance sheet was submitted to members, £95 of the outstanding amounts had been collected, namely, £2 "i of outstanding subscriptions, and £7O of donations had been received. The report was adopted and the secretary was instructed to write offenders requesting that the accounts be paid as the Society was badly in need of funds.

Forty-one new members were elected.
