NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Council, held on Thursday, the 4th day of September. 1919, the following resolution was passed and will be submitted for confirmation at the ordinary monthly meeting of the Council to be held on Thursday, the 2nd day of October, 1919, at 9 a,m., at the County Office, Hall Street. Pukekohe.
RESOLUTION:
1. That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by Section 10 of the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913, (an Order in Council in pursuance of Section 26 of the Appropriation Act, 1915, having been obtained anthorising the Council to borrow) and with the consent of the ratepayers of the Paerata District Special Rating Area in Franklin County, hereinafter described, testified by a petition signed by not less than three-fourths of the Ratepayers in the said Special Rating Area, the capital values of whose properties as appearing in the Valuation Roll of the said County is collectively greater than the capital values of the properties of the Ratepayers who did not so consent, the Franklin County Council hereby resolve by way of Special Order os follows 2. That the Council proceed to raise the loan of Six thousand pounds (£6,000) for the purpose of construction of roads within the Paerata District Special Rating Area, (including the payment of compensation for land required to be taken for any deviation or deviations found to be necessary on such roads the purchase or hire of any horses plant and machinery required to carry out such work, and such other costs, charges and expenses as tho Franklin County Council may determine to have been actually incurred in connection with such loan), as follows : (a) PUKEKOHE TO PAERATA ROAD from the Pukekohe Borough Boundary at the western corner of Allotment 297 of Section 2 Pukekohe to the proposed new level crossing at the southern end of Paerata Railway Station Yard. (b) PAERATA TO KARAKA RD. from the level crossing at the north em end of Paerata Railway Station Yard to boundary of Paerata District Special Rating Area at the Paerata Quarry north western corner of Section number 70 Parish of Karaka. (c) HELVETIA TO PAERATA RD from the south western corner of Allotment 140 Section 2 Pukekohe via Ostrich Farm Estate to the Pukekohe-Paerata Road. (d) "PAERATA-RUNCIMAN ROAD from Paerata Railway Station to the southernmost corner of lot !• section 81, Parish of Karaka. (e) TI'HIMATA ROAD from Run-ciman-Paerata Road at Blanchard's corner to Tuhiinata Creamery at at junction of Pukekohe East and Tuhimatu Roads. (f) PAERATA-PUKEKOHEROAD (also krown as Grey Street. Pukekohe) from the Runciman-Paerata Road at Wilson's corner to the south eastern corner of lot 7 of section 4 Parish of Pukekohe. the said Special Rating Area comprising (here follows a detailed description of the boundaries of the Paerata DistrictSpecial Rating Area) 3. That the said loan be called " The Franklin County Couniiil Paerata District Special Rating Area Loan of £#».i»<)(), l'.il!)." 1. That the interest on the said loan shall lie at the rate of Five Pounds Five Shillings (£5 5s ) | er centum per annum and be payable half-yearly oa the first days of April and October in each year. 5.
