Remanded the Supreme Court. Papakura Case.

A sitting of the Papakura Magistrate's Court was held on Friday, before Mr J. W. Poynton, S.M., when Stanley Brown, well known in Papakura, appeared on remand, on three charges of theft from the dwelling of Mrs L Watson, boardinghouse keeper, Papakura. Accused was staying at the boardinghouse, and shared a room with a man named Mr T. D Sheehan. He was charged that in July or August last, he stole, on diverse dates, three £lO notes, and cheque for £7 The latter wan a friendly society's cheque, drawn on the bank of New Zealand, at Timaru He wan also charged that on September 7th, he stole £'», the property of the proprietress, and paid Mrs Watson his board with the stolen money.
