CONVERTIBLE MOTOR VEHICLE
Passengers op Goods
The transformation of a motor car, which is unsuited for commercial work, into a motor lorry, is becoming quite a common undertaking nowadadays, but to do the work successfully is another expect of the question, and takes none but skilled workuiarship to effect & succc it. Mr T. J. (,'orin of Manu rcwa had b ; s Buick motor car crnvertel into a motor truck by Messrs Cooper and Card, motor engineers, and coajhbuilders, of Pulcekohe, in a very short time. The chassis was thoroughly overhauled by skilled mechanics, while workmen in the coachbuilding department of this firm, as equrly proficient as the mechanics, fitted on the body of the louy. The truck attachment is fitted with movable seats, in order that picnic parties can be catered for, and when the truck is not required for this work, it can be in a very few minutes converted into an ordinary delivery conveyance. The body is also fitted with a canopy top and wind screen, which adds to the comfort "f the driver. Solid tyres were fiited to the roar wheels. The whole of the work was executed by Messis Cooper and Curd, and it is doubtful if such a job has previously been undertaken by a Tukekohe firm of engineers. The firm is now in a position to fit a truck auachment to any make of car, and anyone whose car is a thing of the past, as far es ordinaty work is concerned, can have it transformed into a motor truck in a very short space of time. The work on Mr Conn's lorry was very efficiently executed, the painting and signwriting buing au outstanding feature. On thfl whole the job was one of which the firm can feel justly proud.
