BOROUGH OF PUKEKOHE Special Order Making By. Laws. NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Pukekohe Borough Council hold on WEDNESDAY, the 20th day of August, 1919, the following resolution was passed, and will be submitted for confirmation at the Ordinary Meeting of the Council to be held on WEDNESDAY, the 17th day of September, 1919, at 7.30 p.m., at the Council Chamber, Edinburgh Street, Pukekohe. RESOLUTION. In exercise of the powers conferred on it by Part 42 of " The Municipal Corporations Act 1908 '' the Pukekohe Borough Council hereby makes, by way of Special Order, a Bylaw under " The Municipal Corporations Act 1908" intituled " The General By-1awN0.3,1919" The Purport of such By-law is as follows : 1. Interpretation. 2. Stands for licensed Vehicles may be appointed from time to time by resolution of the Council. 3. Providing stands for vehicles at places of public or private entertainment. 4. Operation of by-law. 5. Council to be satisfied that motor cars are in good order before granting taxi licenses. Every license to state number of passengers to be carried. 6. All motor cars to carry horn or other means of giving audible notice of approach. Drivers to give, where necessary, audible notice of approach or position. 7. Speed of motor traffic limited to 10 miles per hour in King street, and 4 miles per hour round any corner in Borough. 8. Head and rear lights to be carried on motors between sunset and sunrise, and number-plate to he illuminated. 9. Fixing scale of charges by distance for licensed taxis. 10. Fixing scale of (.barges by time for licensed taxis.
