REPATRIATION COMMITTEE
Branch at Pukekohe
The formation of a local branch of the Repatriation Committee was decided upon at a meeting held in the Borough Council Chambers, Pukekohe, on Tuesday, the Mayor (Mr C. K, Lawrie) presiding, such branch to consist of one member of the following: The Franklin County Council; the Pukekohe Borough Council; the ' Pukekohe Chamber of Commerce; the Franklin A. and P. Society; the Returned Soldiers' Association, and one member to represent Labour. At the meeting of the Franklin County Council, yesterday, it was agreed that the chairman (Cr W. Claud Motion) should be a delegate. Cr Motion said it would be difficult to attend meetings held in the afternoon, it was decided to , suggest to the committee that meetings be held in the evening. Also, in the event of the chairman not being able to attend, ( 'r T. W. Woods be deputy.
