PROPOSED HOSPITAL.
HOW NOW? The capital cost of a 2o bed cottage hospital (advised by the Auckland Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, in a letter to the Franklin County Council Inst week) would be about £12,000, exe'usive of i lie ground. Tho Board suggested tint the local bodies should agree on so,i;e central site for the erection of a building suitable for maternity and emergency surgical cases. Cr H. Wilcox considered that it was only a matter ot time when th?re would be such an agitation for hospital accommodation at Pukekohe that an Act would have to be passed authorising separation. It was concluded that the Council could do nothing further in the matter at present.
