Meeting of Executive. The executive of the Franklin A. and P. Society met in thf> Society's offioo on Friday when the I'ro.sideat, Mr J. N. Mas.ey, preeided over Messrs Jaa. Roulston, C. K. Lawrie, H. Keith, H. Stuart, F. J. Morrow, F. Ballard, C W. Moore, W. Sharp, C. McCormick, D. Jamieson, F. Shipherd, J. Potter, J. Wily andD.lt Hamilton (secretary). JERSEY CATTLE SUBSIDY. The New Zoaland Jersey Cattle Breeders' Association offered a subsidy of £ lor £ for any sum between £■'» and £lO which thoy may allot to two classes, at the forthcoming A. and P. Show for cows holding semiofficial records. They also forwarded a copy of the conditions under which tho subsidies are to be granted.— The Association further advised, that it would offer a gold medal for competition at the next show for a class for Jersey Heifers, in milk, calved since July Ist 1917; to be judged on type.--It was decided to write accepting and thanking the Association for its offer. EXPERIMENTAL FARM. The Tuakau Town Board wrote supporting the proposal to establish an experimental farm in the district, and advised, that Mr D. Fulton had been appointed to represent the Board at any meetings held in connection therewith.—Received. Messrs A. P. Daysh, J. Roulston and F. were appointed to represent the Society to meet the member for the district when lie arrives.

In connection with the Society's proposal to increase the amount of admission to the Show from Is to 2s, and in which it solicited the support of other -Societies, the Waikato A. anil P. Association advised that it had considered the matter but had decided not to make any alteration With regard to the same matter the Auckland Association wrote stating that it had appointed delegates to attend a conference of A. and P Associations to consider the matter, the date of which is to be arranged by the Franklin Society. The Auckland Society offered the use of its office for Buch Conference. —Mr 0. K. Lawrie, in view of the fact that Hamilton had decided to make no alteration, moved that the matter be deferred for another year. Mr J. Roulston supported, and said he thought it would be foolish on the part of the Franklin Society to increase the charge for admission unless Hamilton foil into line. He favoured the rise, but they would have to be careful not to unpopular - ise the show.
Mr C Shipherd thought that as Friiukhn had moved in the matter and had asked for a conference the conference should be held in order to gain the ideas of the other Societies. He moved to this effect and his amondment was seconded by Mr H. Keith.
Mr J. Wily sa'd he was in favour of the increase of the admission prices to 2s for men and Is for ladies. He thought that it would not make any difference in the attendance. Mr Lawrie's motion was carried, by eight to seven. RESIGNATION. Mr H. G. R. Mason tendered his resignation as a member of the Society.—Accepted. NEW MEMBERS. The following new members were elected—Messrs J W Mack, Pukekohe; Rex Purdy, Auckland; J BEnks, Ngatea; & Wisly, Paerata ; Mat Enwright, Aka Aka ; G Palmer, Pukekawa; A E Harding:, Maungatawhiri; G Flavell, Pukekohe ; F J Quick, Takapuna; H A Hawke, Pukekawa; Chas Priest, Otaua ; J Madill, Pukekohe; W Peters, Buckland. GROUNDS COMMITTEE. Messrs J Wily, F Ballard, A P Daysh, F J Morrow, C McCormick, J koulston, and the Secretary were appointed a Grounds Committee. SUISSIDY OFVEKEI). Messrs Roulston Brothers offered to subsidise- any tree-planting on the Showgrounds on a £ for £ basis. (>n the motion of Mr Lawtie, a hearty voto of thanks was accorded the donors. .IL'MI'IM. UnOl.'ND. In connexion with the jumps at the Showground, Mr J) Jamieaon thought something should bo done to impro.e the iaudiug, as tho giound was very hard. Ho suggested that some .sand ho deposited on tho lauding side. Ho moved that it be a recommendation to the Grounds Committee to carry into effect. - Canied. SCHEDULE COMMITTEES. The following committees were appointed to revise the various sections of the Schedule :
Horses : Messrs J Wily, J Potter, F SSliipperd, E Appleby, Dynes Fulton and C McCormick.
Cattle: Messrs A v D.iysh, J K Hamilton, F J Morrow, II Stuart, S Shippeid and Jas Pollock. Mhoop, pigs, poultry, and dogs: Mi ssis L L Allon, D Jamiesou and W Moore.
Hall Suction: Messrs F Ballard, \V Sharp, and Joe Reynolds.

Only two tenders had bseu received, and the sub eommittoo .sot up to deal with the silo of tho sections hud sold Mclions •') anl''. for i'l2() and Jt'lO'.i respectively. On tho motion ol Mr Lmvrio, sec or.ded by Mr J Kotilston, tho committee's action was approved. Tho President reported that Mr Hamilton had offered JE2o() for sections I'.i, -0, 21, and 22. The committee's valuation was £260 for tho four.
On tho motion of Messrs Keith and Jamioson, tho oiler was accepted.
