OUTDOOR SPORTS

HOCKEY TOURNAMENT. With the idea of stimulating interest in hockey circles in Franklin a tournament under the auspices ot the Pukekohe Hockey Club, eventuated on the Domain on Saturday last, in ideal weather. There was a large attendance of those interested, visitors from Glenhrook, PaMimahoe, Rama Rama, and other parts ot the district. Teams representing the above townships were also present. Results of the various games were : -Gents' 11-aside : Ist round, latumahoe beat (ilenbrook by short and a long corner. Mr W. G. Flavell refereed. Pukekohe a bye. Second round: Pukekohe beat Patumahoe by a short corner, and annexed the cup value £3 3s. Mr T. Conroy controlled the game. Ladies' U-aside : Pukekohe defeated Rama Rama by a short co:ner f and carried off the cup valued at £2 2s. Mr H. Hay was in charge ot the match.

Pukekohe A beat Pukekohe B by one goal (scored by Miss Clews) and a short corner to nil. Mr T Conroy was referee. Second round. Rama Rama beat Pukekohe A by goal (scored by Miss Cullen) and two short corners, and thus lifted the cup valued at £2 2s. Mr Flavell was in charge. Gents'-First round. Patumahoe defeated Glenbrook by two g"als (annexed by 11. Hay) to nil. L B. Wilson had charge of the whistle. Final. In the fiml (or a cup valued at £2 2s, Patumahoe defeated Pukekohe by one goal (netted by 11. Hay) to nil. Vfr T. Conroy hlow the whistle. Ladies' roliy race-Rama Rama (R. Kern, K. Cullen, A. Pulman and C. Cullen), 1. The various trophies were donated bv the Pukekohe Club.
