MAUKU
TENNIS SOCIAL A verv pleasant function took place at the Mauku School on Wednesday night when the local Tennis Club gave a social in honour of Mrs Perry. During the eyening the captain (Mr V. A. Wright) in presenting Mrs Perry with a handsome gold brooch, made an appropriate speech, enumerating her valuable services rendered to the Club.
Mr Perry on behalf of his wife, suitably responded. After indulging in various amusements, a good supper, which was provided by the ladies, brought a most enjoyable evening to a close.
