The Tliakau team composed of I t men journeyed to Pukekohe in torrential rain, to try conclusions with the home team. From the kick off the reds attacked. J. During the next two cpells Crawford notched a try and Pivott kicked a penally goal for Tuakau. Bombay journeyed to Waiuku. and suffered defeat at the hands of the home team by 13 points to 3. Mr E. Pollock refereed. JUNIOK.
Tho Pukekohe junior 15 travelled to Tuakau to meet the home juniors. Upon arrival there, it was found that the Tuakau club had obtained a referoo from Auckland, without first consulting the Secretary of the Franklin Rugby Union. This action was sevorely criticised by tho Pukekohe juniors, as well as the Secretary of tho Union It uppoars that the Union had appointed Mr Joe Reynolds to referee tho match, and with this object in viow ho journeyed to Tuakau. A heated argument eventuated. Tuakau would not play under tho Union's referee, while Pukekohe would not go oil tho field to play under Crichton, whom they had previously experienced. Pukekohe thus claimed the match, because Tuakau would not onter the lield under the official referee.
A meeting of the Franklin Union will be held to-morrow night to consider the matter.
