Speaking of the Waiuku railway, at Wodnesday night's meeting of the Chamber of Commerce, Mr U. Heerdegeu suggested :hat a railway statiou sliould be orectel at Holvetia crossing, one mile from Pukekohee, the nearest one now existing being three miles from Pukekohe. A thg siatiun, for passengora only, would be required. Such a service would be a great convenience for peuple travcliiug to ami from Waiuku and Pukekohe He moved "That tlie Member for thy district bo written to, asking that a ilag station bo erected between Helvetia aud Paerara, at the junction of the ostrich farm road ; and that the Micia'or for Public Works be written to, hlpo." No expense, practically, would be entailed. Mr E. W. Tabor seconded the motim, which was carried.
