SUNKEN GERMAN WARSHIPS

TO-NIGHT

In view of the sensational sinking of the German battleships at Scapa Flow, the great Naval Surrender film, to be screened to-night, should be of particular interest. The picture is not a groat spectacular one, its value being historical and educational.

WEDNESDAY. June Elvidge and Montague Love appear in the leading roles of the big world drama " Broken Ties " to be screened at the Premier Hall tomorrow (Wednesday) evening. This is a photo-drama of the first rank from every standpoint. The story of a husband's neglect and a wife's folly, a powerful lesson for husbands and wives. Supporting items are " Topical Budget,'' Triangle Comedy " and an animal study.

Mr Wragge's Lecture. Tn spite of the unpleasant climatic conditions which prevailed on Tuesday night, there was a fair attendance at the Premier Hall, Pukekohe, to hear the able Pcien-

tist, Mr Clement L. Wragge, Oliver his interesting discourse on " The Mighty Universe and Coming Seasons. Mr Wragge is an old favourite with the poople, 'ind his ioctures are decidedly unique, as well as interesting. The lecture was on similar lines te that delivered previously, but, nevertheless, the able veteran lecturer had no trouble in keeping his audience intensely interested. The lecture was illustrated with simply magnificont lantern slides of the mightv universe. Pictures of " Old Sol" whom Mr Wragge described as fhe dynamo of the wholo universe - were marvellous. Some-

thing the naked eye could not disclose while looking at the suu were depicted on the screen. TTuge electrical wives, travelling at mam- millions of miles an hour, dashing to and fro like the angry waves on a stormy day at sea, and up against the rocks, opened the eyes of the audience. They thought such was impossible, but they left the Hall satisfied that what Mr Wragge had revealed was correct, flis slides of the magnificent " milky way," with its billions of stars, attracted considerable attention Mr Wragge dealt with the whole matter in a most thoroughly efficient and pleasing manner. The lecture was one worth going many miles to hear, and as Mr Wragge intends to come again shortly, sucn an interesting subject should appeal to a larger number of people.
