OBITUARY

Mr Walter Adams

The death occurred at Whangarei on June 11th, of Mr Walter Adams, formerly of Pukekohe. Deceased, who was well-known and highly respected by all with whom he came in contact, was born in Pukekohe. He was the youngest son of the late Mr and Mrs Thomas Adams, of Mill Farm, Pukekohe, und was 48 years of age. For many years he was employed on the New Zealand Bailways, Public Works in Pukekohe, and later transferred to Whangarei, where he was still in the employ of the Government for some time. He subsequently took up a position on tramway works at Whangarei, where he was employed until he was stricken with pneumonia and pluerisy. He entered the hospital on June 'Jth and succumbed from the effects of the malady on June 11th, and on the same day was laid to rest in the Eawa Kawa cemetery. He was a brother to Messrs Joseph Adams, John Adams, Thomas Adams, William Adams and Mrs John Beynolds, Mrs Thomas, Mrs Whiteman, Mrs Gurney, and Mrs W. Crispe and Miss Lettie Auams, all of Pukekohe. Deceased, who was married twice, leaves a wife and two children, aged 12 and 10 years respectively. The deepest sypmpathy of a wide circle of friends is extended to the bereaved family.
