OTAHUHU.

PARISHIONERS' MEETING The annual meeting of the Holy Trinity Church was held in the Parish Hall on Tuesday last. The Rev. R. Mason presided, and with him waf the secretary of the vestry, Mr A. J. Wildman. There was a ['air attendance of church-goers, and a keeu interest was manifested in the huviness transacted.

The Vicar, in a lengthy address touched upon many points interesting to the members of the church. lie was pleased to be able to tell them that the debt on the parish hall had been reduced during the past year by £IOO as the result of the recent bazaar. Mr Mason paid a high tribute to the teaching stati of the Bunday School and especially mentioned the name of Miss Wingate. He was also pleased to welcome to the church Mr Pearson who has taken such a keen interest in the Sunday School. The Central Fund which was inaugurated recently as a means to provide adequate salaries for the clergy was touched upon by < the speaker. He moved and il was passed "that it go as a recommendation to the standing committee to assess all parishes to ensure the fund to become operative." The manner in which the duties of Secretary and Treasurer are carried out by Mr J. Wildman was alluded to by Mr Mason. Special mention was also made of Mrs Eowley, who has done so much in regard to Church collecting. The organist (Mr A. J. White) was the recipient of warm praise for his untiring performance of duty; and also Mrs Worthington, who has always been available when the organist was absent. The Vicar concluded his address by intimating his pleasure at the voting in favour of granting to women of tho Church the right to vote and become members of the vestry. He gave his strong support to this just, if belated, reform The election of the new vestry resulted as follows. —Messrs A. J. White, A. J. Wildman, G. McDell, H. Willis, H. J. HaU, T. Philpot, E. Curry, C. B. Pearson, and two members from Papatoetoe— Messrs Hall and Cutforth.

The ladies of the congregation kindly supplied refreshments.
