The " Times " delivery service, by runner, for the Pukekohe Hill and other outer areas of the Borough, which has been suspended for some months in favour of postage, will be resumed within a fortnight's time. At Mr Harper's stock sale (Buckland and Sons', hold at Pukekohe yesterday, some good stock was disposed of. A pedigree jersey bull, coming of a well-known butter-fat producing strain, was knocked down to Mr H. Dell, at 22gns. Dancing enthusiasts are reminded of the welcome home social and dance, to be held in the Premier Hall, on Thnrsday evening. Elaborate arrangements are complete, and present indications point to the function being an unqualified success. Among; the good bags secured locally at the opening of the shooting season was that of Messrs F. Perkins, J. P. Hart and Bert Hart, whose bag included twenty brace of pheasants. The two latter continued the sport after Mr Perkins was obliged to return home, fo that the total will be greater. The "scene of operations" was fifteen mile 9 beyond Paparoa.
