THE FLOWER SHOW

(Continued from Friday)

The third annual (and final) %J?lower Show under the auspices of Wotoen's Branch of the Patriotic League, terminated on Friday evening. The Bhqw was a brilliant success from eyery viewpoint, and great credit is due to the promoters, the energetic Secretary, Miss W. E. Webster, and her Committee, who have worked assiduously throughout. Thanks to their untiring efforts, the war memorial funds were considerably enhanced. The attendance was all that could be desired, patrons taking great interest in themagoi ficent exhibition of flowers, cookery, preserved fruits, and needlework. The outstanding feature of Friday evening's effort was the competitions. Mini vera Maloney predominated in the nail-driving for the fair sex, While Mr J. Fiak annexed the prize attached to the gentlemen. Misses Dulcie Fitness and Cissie Reynolds won the girls' skipping competition. The guessing competitions were also well patronised.
