The party in Otahuhu have carried out a strenuous campaign for some time past in the interests of their cause and Saturday's procession could be regavlod as a successful culmination to arduous work on the part of many enthusiasts. Startiug from the fire-bell the procession proceeded down Great South Road, with a large following of spectators some of whom gave mild outbursts of approval, while a few good humouredly heckled the participants. The party then proceeded along Station Road and along the Mangere Road and theuce down most of the chief roads of the town. The costumes of several of the procession provided much amusement and called f<>r numerous cheers from the crowds. Motor cars gaily decorated were a prominent feature of the procession, and some of the impersonations caused much amusement aud did no little credit to those concerned. The co.ituruQ representing "Johnny Walker" especially occasioned uproarious applause. There were also numerous waggons packed with children, some of whom were dressed in gorgeous costumes for th»occasion Taken as a whole the project was a pronounced sueaess aud though many of the spectators were not in sympathy with the cause of prohibition, yet that did uot prevent the humourous aspect of the procession presenting itself to them, aud they gave the ventuie all the support au<l applause the prjiuotei> could wish tor.
