BOWLERS' "AT HOME'' The "At Home" given by the Otahuhu Bowling Club on their green on Saturday last was a pronounced success Favoured by ideal weather conditions large numbers of visitors attended from almost every club in the city as also from Papatoetoe. In the absence of the President (Mr W. McFadden) the visitors wore cordially welcomed by Mr J. Hebden. Amongst those to accept invitations was the member for the district, Sir Frederick Laug. The green was in good order, and some interesting games resulted, although the President's team won with a good margin. The officials of the Club deserve great c edit for the arrangements made, the flags on the pavilion especially preseutiug a pioturesque appearance. The ladies of the Croquet Club, who also had been i invited to the function, were therein l goodly numbers. The train arrange- I mentt happily were convenient for

those journeying from the city, the return to town being; accomplished after the games had been finished The catering carried out by the Club's officials was everthing jfcjg _ could be desired and reflected *m*T credit on those concerned. „ The result of the day's games were as follows, viz: President v.
