OTAHUHU.
A bazaar and sale of work won held in the Parish Hall, Otahuhu, on Friday and Saturday of last week under the auspices of the Holy Trinity Church, the being to raise funds for the liquidation of the debt remaining on the hall. Great credit is due to those who devoted their time to the appointments and decorations, which as well as th« numerous stalls bore a very picturesque appearance. Fortunately the weather conditions were ideal and this allowed some of the amusements to be held in the open. The vicar (the Rev. H. Mason) rendered valuable service, besides infusing enthusiasm amongst those present. Altogether the project proved to be a great success and the financial result was decidedly encouraging. By way of providing a form of welcome to some of the " boys" who have recently returned from the front, a moonlight picnic was arranged recently by the Mijsos Alice Smith and Olive Absolwo. The place chosen for the outing was Bt. Helier's Bay, to which resort about thirty young people were conveyed by motor cars. All who participated were loud in their praises of the pleasant time spent. ■
