MILITARY DESERTER'S ARREST.
CHARGE AGAINBT A BROTHER As a sequel to the arrest on one of the islands in the Waikato river, some months ago, of a military deserter, named Ernest Mouldy, who at the time was living as a hermit on the island, bis brother, Frank Mouldy, farmer, of Puni, was charged at the Pukekohe Magistrate's Court yesterday, that between August 16th and September 29th last, at Puni and Pukekohe, he did aid and abet Ernest Mouldy in the commission of at offence, to wit, in the desertion from the New Zealand Expeditionary Force. Mr H G. R. Mason, who appeared for defendant, pleaded not guilty. His Worship said he was not sure whether the case was not an indictable one. He thought it was; but the Court did not possess the necessary books to satisfy him on the point. He accordingly adjourned the hearing until March 13th
