Messrs Bnckland and Sons, Ltd., reportWe held our usual monthly sale at Pokeno and Runciman on Monday and Tuesday, and had average yardinga at both places. Calves were in better demand. Best dairy cows and heifers brought from £lO 7s 6d to £ls ; Others, £6 10 to £9 2s 6d ; empty cows, £5 12s 6d to £8; fat cows and heifers, £8 Iss to £l2 12s 6d ; 3 to 4-year old steers, £lO 5s to £l3 Is ; 2 to 3-year old steers, 46 15s to £8 7s ; yearling to 18 months steers, £4 15s to £6 5s ; heifers in calf, £5 15s to £8; good calves, £2 10s to £3 ; others 15s to £2 ss; heavy bulls, £ll 10s to £18; others £2 12s 6d to £lO 15s. We held a successful sheep and ram fair at Pukekohe on Monday. About the advertised number came forward, and found buyers at prices similar to those which were obtained at Westfield on the previous Thursday. Competition was keen, last week's prices ruling, Choice ox sold to £2 lis per 1001b., others £2 8s to £2 10s; cow and heifer beef, £2 4s to £2 9s per 1001b ; steers sold at from £l3 10s to £22 ; cows and heifers, from £9 to £l6 17s Cd. Calves were penned in average numbers, and prices advanced over last week's rates, anything choice Belling well. Runners sold to £G ss; heavy vealers, £3 5s to £5 ; medium, £2 las to £3 Is ; light, 37e 6d to £2 12s 6d; small and fresh-dropped, 3s to 255. Sheop were penned in large numbers. Competition was keen, prices being fully equal to last week's quotations. Lambs were penned in average numbers, and sold at late rates. Best £1 4s to £1 9s 9d ; medium lambs, 18s to £1 3s 9d; small lambs, 13s to 17s 9d. Figs- A good yarding, with prices slightly lower than last week. Heavy baconers, £4 13s to £5 12s 6d ; small choppers and light baconers, £4 to £4 10s; large porkers, £3 to £.3 15s; medium, £2 5s to £2 17s fid; small, 28s to £2 2s 6d; weaners, 19s fid to 255. On Saturday, at Waiuku, we had a full yarding, and report a good sale. Dairy cows and heifers, £9 to £ls ss; bulls, £7 to £ls; empty cows and heifers, £6 to £8 17s 6d; fat cows, £9 to £l4 ; fat steers, £l3 to £lfi ss; calves, £1 to £2 (is; yearling to 18 mouth heifers, £o 15s to £ r > os; ditto steers, £4 10b to £6 15 ; weaner pigs, 15s to £1 ss.
