ANZAC CUP.

PUKEKOHE BEATS WEBT END. Pukekohe had the satisfaction, last Saturday, of defeating West Eud, at West End, in a match for the possession of the Auzac Cup, which, accordingly, once again finds a temporary home in Pukekohe. The trophy, it will be remembered, was presented two years ago by certain prominent supporters of either Club for competition twice in one season between the two Clubs named, and by arrangement it was first hel 1 by Pukekohe. In the initial match, played at Pukekohe, West End weie the victors, and later in that season, as also on two occasions last year, they (on their own green) triurnphel over the Pukekohe representative!. The result ot Saturday's games namely, a win for Pukekohe by two rinks to one, or 64 points to 58 - therefore came as a pleasant surprise t) the challengers, who hardly anticipated beating thoir formidable opponents. The scores were as follows, the names of the Pukekohe players being mentioned last in each instance, viz.:

Moselem, Wright, Morley, Ton kin, 22; v, Guest, Barter, Jas. Eotd ston, Clarke, 20.

Court, Cox, Hardiey, Whittea, 18; v. Daysh, Coady, Keith, Dun can Houston, 20. Wood, Urouhart, Clarke, McMillan. 18 ; v. Boekett, Blake, Perkins, Wright, 24.

The Pukekohe green will be occupied to-morrow with a match (five teams aside) between the local and Waiuku clubs. In addition to this the final of the Labour Day tournament, between a Pukekohe toam (Messrs W. Wright, Wilson, Crisps, and Gill) and a tea r n from Waiuku (Messrs Stone, King, Harris and Willtams), will be played Pukekohe will be represented in full-rink tournament at Dominion road (Auckland) to morow by Messrs A. Daysh, Dave Roulston, W. Blake, and R. Fitness.
