It was old Farmer Fig:;::'.-. A look of hope came into the ;-•::■ ant's eye. Yes, the old boy wa* ing the street and making strnLh: : the shop! He entered. '■Mernin' morti'n'!" lie said h< an!. "I've just looked in to buy an average Let's have a look at some, will \< > voting feller?" ■•An average, did you say, sir':" )!•! t!te assistant blankly. "Yes, yes: same what old Bn:g<r').< bought." "What was it like, sir:-" asked the. unfortunate fellow behind the counter. '•'Ow should I know:-" answered Figgins angrily. "All 1 Ictmtt is as old Bri!gr;ins told me as 'ow 'e's got a 'en what lays twenty-live eggs a week on an average, an' J wants one, ton -so trot 'em out, and lei's 'ave a look it 'em!"
