' ' The deceased only returned a few mouths ago from the front, after •i being severely gassed. He leaves a »■ widow to mourn her loss. A melan choiv sfquel occurred the following dt-y (Sunday), when the deceased'smo'her, Mrs Deeble, passed away at Tuakau, from influenza. The d« ceased lady was 52 years of age Mr IJeeble is also suffering from the fame complaint. Mr J. H. Craig's condition still gives cause for anxiety. There is a good deal of illness among the Maoris in the various settlements.
