Private W. J. Dawson, who is reported to have been killed in action x on October 11th, was the son of Mrs ▼ F. G. Dawson, of Wiri. He was born at Fapatoetoe and was educated at the Manurewa Public School. He followed farming pursuits and when he enlisted he was farming in the Karaka district.
