HARRISVILLE.
Intimation was received last week to the effect that Private W. Mateliett had been posted as missing. Private Mateliett was an old Harrisville boy, being very well known in Pnkekohe and tho surrounding districts. Educated at tho Harrisville Public School lie afterwards took of dittos on his father's firm firm iirst at Tuakiiu and tlifn at Matahura. On his father retiring Pte. Mateliett, together with his brothers, managed the farm at MaUhura r.nd ho remained there until lie enlisted. He left N-w Zealand with one of the early Reinforcement Drafts. Pvt Matchott, who was about 2'i years of age, was highly esteemed by all who knew him. The sympa'hy of a large circle of friends is extended to the r.i-nts and family.
