In order to fittingly welcome home a number of returned soldiers it was decided to hold a social evening on October 30th at which presentations, as a mark of appreciation of services rendered, will take place. A subcommittee was deputed to make arrangements for the gathering, tb« ladies present agreeing, on behalf of the Ladies' Patriotic Committee, to provide refreshments. It wat decided to ask the Chairman of ihe Town Board to welcome the men on behalf of the town district. It was resolved to forward a letter of sympathy on behalf of the League to the relatives of deceased soldiers.

Votes of thanks were accorded the Ladies' League for the assistance rendered during the year, to Mr Bevell ithe proprietor of the hall) for the manner in which he had studied the convenience of the League, and also to the auditors, Messrs Tapper and Osborne. It was decided to hold a meeting of the Bed Cross Executive on Oct 24th, in order to wind up matters in connection with the Copper Trail campaign.
