In accordance with the suggestion of the Acting Prime Minister thanksgiving services will be held in all Pukekohe Churches next Sunday, 6th inst (as the demands of outlying districts upon local clergy render a united service impracticable) and all citizens are invited to attend their respective Churches and give thanks for the recent liberation of Palestine and surrender of the Bulgarians and the hope of the nearer approach of peace which those events give us. Contract No 338—For forming and culverting 39 chains, of Waiuku Drury Road near Mauku Bridge. Contract No 339—For forming and culverting 77 chains, 75 links of the Karaka to Waiau Road, Yates' Bridge to Earaka School. Contract No 340—For forming and culverting 33 chains of the Waiuku to Drury Road and supply and erection of 20ft span bridge (Walker's Bridge/ Contract No 341—For forming 17 chains of Patumahoe to Railway Station Road and removing and replacing metal.
