THERE'S A LITTLE STREAK OF SILVER
There's a little streak of silver just a gleaming in the sky Sojn the dark and dreary war clouds will be gone, And the j >y-bells will be ringing in the happy bye and by All ♦lie world will join in singing victory's song, 'I here will be no more dark horrors in the coming days of peace, When the Allied sword has civilised the Hun, So just watch that gleam of silver, grow and spread all through the world, For it tells of hard-fought battles nobly won There'll be many a heart that's ach ing, for the lads who have passed away And our hearts to theirs in sympathy rebounds They have gained a crown of glory in the light for freedom's cause They'll be waiting when the last long bugle sounds May tiiat littlo gleam of silver, help to lighten many a load Of tlio sorrow that has spread throughout the world It is growing daily brighter, and the time will soon bo here Wiien the lings of Peace and Victory are unfurled Mrs C Koss, Panmuro Road, Orahuhu.
