PUKEKOHE MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
(Before Mr F. K. Hunt 8.M.) TfIUESDAY, SEPT. 19th.
A PLUMBING PROSECUTION
Robert Carter, plumber, of Pukekohe, was proceeded against by the Health Department for having carried out certain plumbing works although not being a registered plumber. The Department was represented by Mr Shenton, who stated that defendant sat for an examination but missed by a few marks. He was however, again to sit at the next examination. Mr Shenton went on to say that the work executed by defendant was very well done indeed and in veiw of that fact he did not press for a heavy penalty A nominal fine of 40s was imposed.
BHEEP SKINS MINUS EARS A native of Tuakau, named Tene Tahiri, was summone 1 for selling a sheep-skin without the ears attached. As the offence was committed prior to the cases heard at the previous court His Worship took a lenient view of the circumstances and only ordered defendant to pay 7s Court costs.
A SERIOUS OFFENCE.
A youth was committed for trial to the Supreme Court on a charge of having been guilty of an unnatural offence.
