I MANUREWA. MANUREWA TOWN BOARD. The usual monthly meeting of the Manurewa Town Board was Held on Monday of last week, the members present being Messrs Corin (Chairman), Lupton, Burton, G Ooxhead, C. Coxbead, Pegler, and Wood, with the Clerk (Mr H. Kay). HILL ROAD, The Chairman reported that Mr Wynyard, representing the Puriri Park Estate Company, had interviewed him relative to the dedication of Hill Road and the probability was that the Company would agree to the Board's terms. It was further reported that the formation of Hill road up to Nathan's gate was almost completed and awaited the inspection of members of the Board. It was decided to provide four concrete cesspits where required and t) put in 9in. pipes across the top end of the road and 6in. pipes in the hollow further down. RAILWAY MATTERS. It was decided to request the Railway Department to increase the height of the loading bank and to apply for an assistant porter to be appointed to look after the goods shed. JELLICOE ESTATE. It was resolved to call on the owners of the Jellicoe Estate to clear out the drain leading through their property from Massey road as the choking of the same was causing damage to the road and inconveniencing other property holders. POSTAL FACILITIES. The Chief Postmaster, Auckland, advised the Board that their request for mails to be delivered by a letter carrier would have to stand over until after the new post office was erected. j LOAN MONEY. Correspondence was read from the State Advances Office stating that the Board's application for a loan of £650 for Hill Road could not be entertained. The Chairman, however, reported that it was probable the Auckland Savings Bank would take up the loan. FINANCES Accounts totalling £3O 14s lid were passed for payment.
