There- is now an excellent road formed and metalled from tho railway crossing on the Hanisville roid through the Waikato Co-op. Dairy Company's property to the entrance to Captain Ryder's farm. Tho cost of portion of the mad from the quarry was partly borne by a contribution by Captain Ryder, whilst the remairidnr was paid lor out of special loan. Tho blue metalled highway, as seen from the lino, is a decided improvement and is another indication of the desire on the part of the Tuakau Town Hoard to improve the roads of the township. On Monday evening next a Red Cress Conceit will bo held in the I'ubiii ll.ill, Tuakau, when a first i 'ass [irogromnifl will bo submitted inclu iing sclrcti.ms by the I'ukekohe *in he- tia and visiting artiste-. I luring tho evening a resolution will 1m proposed by Mr Dynes Fulton (('hahman of the Tuakau Town Hoard} in commemoration of the fourth uuniversury of the war. Theminyfiietidsof Mrs A. Madill, tenr, will bo glad to loam that she is recovering from her recent operation which she underwent in Hamilton.
