FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICE OF INTENTION TO BORROW MANAGTANGI-NEW BRIGHTON SPECIAL RATING AREA LOAN OF £5,000 NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Franklin County Council, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and Amendments thereto, and with the consent of the Governor-General in Council under Section 26 of ths Appropriation Act, 1915, as gazetted on page 3790 of the N.Z. Gazette, 1917, to borrow the sum of £5,000 for the following purposes : A. For Construction of the road, known as '' Mangatangi Road" from the eastern boundary of Eoheroa Blodk to eastern boundary of Section lt»3 Eoheroa Parish, £SOO B. For Legalisation and Construction of the Road known as Manga-tangi-New Brighton Road from eastern boundary of Section 163. Koheroa Parish, to north * astern corner of Opita Block. £3OOO C. For Construction of the Road known as Mangatangi-Miranda Road, from the eastern boundary of Section 163, Eoheroa Parish, to the Miranda Landing. £1,500 AND, as security for the payment of interest, sinking fund and other charges on the said loan, to make and levy a Special Rate of one penny farthing (l)4d) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Mangatangi - New Brighton Special Rating Area of Franklin County. The loan is for a period of 36} years at the rate of interest of five and a quarter per centum per annum, together with an additional charge of one per centum per annum to provide the necessary sinking fund. It is proposed to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the loan, and the interest and sinking fund for the first year. Dated at Pukekohe this sth day of July. 1918.
