FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL PROPOSED WAIAU ■ EARAEA SPECIAL RATING AREA LOAN OF £27,000, for the purpose of construction of main roads within the proposed Waiau-Karaka Special Rating Area (including the payment of compensation for land required to be taken for any deviation or deviations found to be necessary on such roads, the purchase or hire of any horses, plant and machinery required to carry out such work, and such other costs, charges and expenses as the Franklin County Council may determine to have been actually incurred in connection with such loan) as follows (a) Patumahoe to Waiau Road from the north eastern corner of Section 16, Waiau Parish, to the Waiau Pa Wharf. (b) Waiau to Papakura Road from the Patumahoe to Waiau Road at the south eastern corner of Section 70, Waiau Parish, to the Hingaia Bridge. (c) Waiuku to Drury Road from the Mauku Bridge at southernmost corner of Section 20, Waiau Parish, to the Earaka No. 2 School opposite the easternmost corner of Section Number 233, Parish of Karaka. (d) Earaka to Waiau Road from Waiuku Drury Road at Earaka No. 2 School corner to the Te Hihi School corner at Section 30 Karaka Parish on Waiau to Papakura Road. (e) Earaka to. Papakura Road from the Earaka to Waiau Road at Black Bridge corner to the Waiau to Papakura Road at Coatar's and Smale's corner. PURSUANT to Section 3 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and regulations made thereunder. Public Notice is hereby given that the Special Roll of Ratepayers in the proposed WaiauEaraka Special Rating Area (which said Special Rating Area is defined in the Schedule hereto) is deposited for public inspection ac the office of the Franklin County Council, Hall Street, Pukekohe, and will remain open for inspection until Saturday, the twentieth day of July, 1918. Any person whose name appears on the roll may object to any matter or thing contained in the said roll and may forward notice thereof in writing to the Franklin County Council within seven days after the twentieth day of July, 1918. Such notice shall be in duplicate, and shall state fully the grounds of objection, and also the full name and address of the objector. SCHEDULE. WAIAU-EARAEA SPECIAL RATING AREA. All that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north west generally by the Manukau Harbour from the westernmost point of Beotion number 35 Parish of Waiau to the Earaka Point at north eastern comer of Section 390 N. Parish of Earaka; thence towards the north east, north west and east generally by the Pahurehure and Hingaia Estuaries and by the Whangapouri Creek to the north eastern corner of Lot number 1 on D.P. 7692 Earaka Estate (Homestead Block), owned by Henry Bull; thence towards the east by Lots numbers 7 and 2 Earaka Estate (Homestead Block) to the public road (known as WaiukuDiury Road), at south eastern corner of said Lot number 1 D.P. 7692 Earaka Estate (Homestead Block); thence towards the south east by the said Waiuku-Drury Road to the north eastern corner of section number 171 Parish of Earaka; thence again towards the north east by Sections numbers 170, 174 and 208 of Parish of Earaka to the south eastern corner of section number 175 Parish of Earaka ; thence towards the south east generally by sections numbers 62.63 and part of lection 70 to the south eastern corner of part of section number 58 Parish of Earaka, owned by Daniel Jamieson, containing 109 acres 1 rood 24 perches; whence towards the south by the other part of said section number 58, Parish of Earaka, to the creek forming the eastern boundary of Lot 16 of the Helvetia Ostrich Farm Estate ; thence again towards the east by said section number 58, Parish of Earaka, to the south eastern corner of said lot number 16 Helvetia Ostrich Farm Estate; thence again towards the south by Lots numbers 18,17,11 and 10 of the said Helvetia Ostrich Farm Estate to the road at the south western corner of lot number 9 of the said Helvetia Ostrich Farm Estate ; thence by the said road to the south eastern corner of lot number 4 of the said Helvetia Ostrich Farm Estate; thence again towards the south, south east, and east generally by lots numbers 5, 6 and 7 of said Helvetia Ostrich Farm Estate, lots numbers 9 and 1C of section number 11, Parish of Waiau, lots numbers 2 and 3 of section number 14, Parish of Waiau. and lots numbers 38 and 37 of section 2, Patumahoe Settlement, to the public road known as Patumahoe-Waiau road ; thence across the eaid road to the north eastern comer of section number 16, Parish of Waiau; thence again towards the south eaßt by lots numbers 1 and 2 of Section 2, Patumahoe Settlement, to a point on the south eastern boundary of section number 16, Parish of Waiau, 3377 links from the north eastern corner of said section; thence by a line running in a north westerly direction through the said section number 16 to a point on the south eastern boundary line of section number 17, Parish of Waiau, 8700 links from the easternmost corner of said section number 17 ; thence towards the south east by part of the said section number 16, Parish of Waiau, to the Mauku Stream at the southeastern corner of tectfon number 17, Parish of Waiau ; thence towards the south west generally by the said Mauku Stream to the easternmost corner of section number 101, Parish of Waiuku East; thence again towards the south east by section number lOl), Parish of Waiuku East to the public road at southernmost corner of section number 101, P»rihli of Waiuku East; thence towards the south west by a public road and by sections numbers '.'2,91 and 90 to the public road known as Waiuku-Drury road ; thence towards the west by the said Wai*ku-Drury road and by the creek forming the eastern boundaries of sections numbers 107 and 106 of the Parish of Waiuku East to the iouthern bank of Taihiki River; thence by the southern and northern banks of the said Taihiki River to the point of commencement being the westernmost point of section number 35, Parish of Waiau.
