CHILDREN'S MUSICAL COMPETITIONS.

At Pukekohe. The musical competitions for children held in the Premier Hall, Pukekohe, last Tuesday attracted a large entry and passed off most successful!}', thanks to the able and efficient management of Miss Millicent Taylor, who organised the function as a means of aiding the Red Cross funds. The judging was undertaken by Miss Waddingham, of Auckland, (elocution); Mrs Hunter, of Tuakau, and Mrs Wily, of Buckland, (singing and playing). The prize-winners performed at the evening concert and were well received. They were supported by Misses Foul keg, Hyde and St abbs and Mr Brough, all of whose efforts were much appreciated by the audience. The Rev. J. F. Martin occupied the chair.
