TUAKAU

Mesdames Graham, Lee and Paul, as the promoters of the Bed Cross Concert held in the Tuakau Public Hall on Friday of last week, are to be congratulated for providing such an enjoyable evening. Mr Dynes Fulton presided and delivered a stirring address. Those who contributed vocal items were the Misses Solomon, Wilcox, Haiding, Rowe, and Lodge, and Mesdames Costain and Benuett, while the dancing by Master Alan Cameron was much eiijoytd. Several young ladies did good business by the sale of homemade lollies which added to the proceeds of the function, resulting altogether in the sum of JE2O being secured fur the lied Cross fund. The Tuakau Picture Proprietors kindly provided electric lig!it for the occasion
