Sister Esther's Work
[To the Editor] Sir—As the cold weather approaches we are finding it most difficult to meet the needs of our poor folk. During the last three weeks we have supplied warm clothing to 163 .families. Our supplies are running low, and there is still a large number of delicate women and children waiting for their share of warm clothing. The aged folk are sadly in need of boots, bedding and firing. With living ever on the increase it is almost impossible for the sick to have the comforts of which they are in need. Any contribution in funds, coal, clothing or bedding will be gratefully received. A postcard to No 11 Picton street, Ponsonby, or a message to our Phone 3643 will enable us to collect your gifts —Yours faithfully, SISTER ESTHER. 31st May, 1918.
