SETTLEMENT ROAD DRAINAGE Mr Frederick West, who some time ago offered to pity half cost of pipes fronting his property in Settlement Road, wrote that unless the matter was attended to at once he would have to be relieved of his offer. Mr West attended in support of his letter. Mr Campbell remarked that if this were agreed to other owners would expect the Board to carry out drainage in front of their properties all along the road. The Chairman said that if owners of property made similar offers the Board would be prepared to assist them. He moved that Mr West's offer should be accepted and this was agreed to Mr Markwiok being the only dissentient.
