CLEVEDON.
The Clevedon Agent for " the Times " is Mr W. H. Collett, from whom copies of the paper may be obtained. The annual foiree of the Clevedon Presbyterian Church was held in the Clevedon Public Hall last Friday evening. Tea was dispensed at 0.30 At 8 o'clock the Rev. John V. Jacobson took the chair. After a few brief remarks from the Chairman a very interesting programme was rendered. Ihe vocalists were the Misses Barr, Gallagher and Walters of Auckland, and Mr Soaton, of Papakura. The Clevedon Presbyterian Church Choir also rendered several Anthems. Mr O'Hara, of Ardmore. recited. Mrs Gallagher, Miss M. Dow and Mr Seaton acted as accompanists. Addresses were delivered by the Revs. F. nales, of Papakura, and G. Budd, of Devonport. The whole proceeding was characterised by a very hearty spirit. Young and old alike had come with the evident intention of enjoying themselvos and were not disappointed with the quality of the entertainment furnished. The hall was taxed to the utmost of i's setting capacity, mnnv chairs having to b> brought
in from the church It was gonerally remarked i hat it was the larget-t audience the hall over held- upwards of 10(1 persons being present. With a hearty and appreciative audience and remarkably good entertainment the general opinion
at tho close was that the night had been well spent The annual meeting of the Clevndon hoiisehold-rs was hold on Monday of last wwik with only ft moderate attendants. The follow-
ing were, elected ns the Committee for the pnsuing year, viz : Messrs 0. Atchison ('chairman), W. JHyde, J. Luke, C. C. Munro and T. P. Fraser (secretary and treasurer).
