TUAKAU

DEFENCE MINISTER'S VISIT

Sir James Allen, MP. (Minister of Defence) has arranged to visit Tuakau for the purpose of unveiling the local Honours Board. Arrangements have been made by the Patriotic Committee and the Tuakau.Town Board to meet the Minister on the arrival of the express train at 3.30 p.m. Tea will be provided in the Public Hall and after the unveiling ceremony medals will be presented by Sir James to returned soldiers. A guard of honour will be formed by the local cadets and it is understood that the Tuakau school children will be granted a half holiday. Arrangements are being made for a banquet and social to be held io the evening.
