MANUKAU LICENSING COMMITTEE

Pulling took place on Tuesday for membership of the Manukau Licensing Committee, seven candidates offering themselves for the five seats. As a result the Rev H. Mason (Otahuhu) hv a majority of three votes takes the place of Mr G. E. Tansley, the other four retiring members being re-elected. Only 612 electors voted out of 8000 on the roll. The following were the votes polled Elected : J. Rowe 321, D. Neilson 811, W. n. Gavin 299, J. Brady 27'). Rev 11. Mason 255. Unsuccessful: G. E. Tansley 252, J. Dean 112.
