PAPARATA
WEDDING BELLS EDGE-UPTON \ A quiet but pretty wedding took place at the Paparata Methodist Church on Wednesday last, the contracting parties being Mr George Albert Edge, son of Mr Isaac Edge, an old and highly respected settler of Paparata, and Miss Edith Grace Upton, daughter of Mr Honry Upton, of Sevenoaks, Kent, England. The bridegroom is chairman of the Paparata School Committee, his parents having been identified with the district for many years. The Eev J. F. Martin was the officiating minister, Mrs Morrison acted as bridesmaid, while the duties of best man were carried out by Mr G. Rumble, of Onehunga. The bride was becomingly attired in white voile with a pale blue hat. After the ceremony, at the invitation of Mr Isaac Edge, about seventy guests assembled at the Paparata Public Bchool where the wedding breakfast took place, several toasts being honoured.
