Cross fund wii.i held on J tin 2'iih, tho prom iters being Mesdatues A. French and hhanahan and tlio ftmc tioii taking place ut tlio hitter's residence. Songs, recitations, euchre and indoor games were included in tho proceedings while a number of youut; people enjoyed outdoor games on the lawn. Altogether a most enjoyable time was .--pent and the sum of i'o us in money, and gifts worth about £'■"> 3s wero added to the Bazaar fund. The bazaar is to take place in March next. This is the third of these afternoons and evenings which have been held lately and each have most gratifying results. At tho Mr Laing in a neat speech thanked the I,.dies who had gone to se much trouble to provide such a pleasant gathering
